it feels like a lot of organizations are seeing their client loads increase as a result of the pandemic
JENNIFER BUELL
48:08
Have NCCC team members received their Coronavirus vaccine?
Brian Wegner
48:49
Hi Jennifer - some have if they have individually elected to get it, but it is not a requirement of the program
Sarah Hendley
49:03
Is there a shortened time frame for application/award for a disaster situation?
Stephanie Chan
49:37
Many have, but we can't require it as a requirement to join. We will continue to ask them to wear masks and social distance as a result. We also test members regularly both before they depart from training and if they display any symptoms
Brian Wegner
49:52
Do you feel like an NCCC Team might be helpful at your organization? (Y/N/Maybe)
Stephanie Chan
49:54
Great question Sarah! We will answer that at the end

53:05
Great work Abby! Thank you for helping out those in need!
Dee Davidson
53:48
What is the average size of a team and length of service?
Emily Baker
55:05
Teams are 7-11 people, including the Team Leader. They serve for 10-11 months, but each individual project can be 2-8 weeks long.
Brian Wegner
55:15
The average team size is 9-10 members, and length of service is 8-10 weeks
Sarah Hendley
55:35
Can you talk more about working with other organizations on a joint project? Do you submit together or is there just one lead organizations?
Sarah Hendley
57:38
Sorry for all the questions! Another - will sites be able to request language capability? Or let them know if a team member has fluency at time of deployment?
Dee Davidson
59:10
very nice.
Mark Johnson
59:45
I responded directly to Stephanie
Sarah Hendley
01:00:58
For the supervisor on site, does it have to be a full time staff member or can the person be an AmeriCorps member or VISTA?
Sarah Hendley
01:02:40
Gotcha! So another long term services program would be okay possibly, e.g. Jesuit Volunteer Corps? Just curious :)
JENNIFER BUELL
01:03:19
Do you work with the same nonprofits on similar projects every year?

Is it a 60 week max per year, round...?
JENNIFER BUELL
01:05:43
I apologize if you've said this already. Can the team be split up into different projects?
Stephanie Alvarez
01:05:49
Thank you!
Sarah Hendley
01:05:55
For housing - this seems to be biggest lift - would Airbnbs be okay/hotels if donated?
Amanda Cochran
01:06:10
AirBnBs are great and commonly used as housing for our teams
Amanda Cochran
01:06:23
And hotels also work
JENNIFER BUELL
01:06:42
Thank you.
Stephanie Chan
01:06:50
If housing is your big worry, apply anyway! We can try to help with that!
Stephanie Chan
01:07:04
We may know another past sponsor in the area
Dee Davidson
01:07:48
For us its all about funding. We have so many ramp building projects and housing repairs to do on our reservation but with the price of lumber these days the material costs are killing us.
Stephanie Chan
01:08:36
If you had us helping with the labor Dee would that help you focus more funding on the materials for the ramps?
Sarah Hendley
01:09:48
Is it seen as positive on the concept paper if you've hosted other AmeriCorps programs?
Doria Trombetta
01:09:54
Thank you! I am very impressed with the NCCC program and the quality of your presentation.
